Physical Examination

Students registering for Athletics must have a current physical examination uploaded via PDF format in the Activity Registration Site before the student is authorized to participate in practice/tryouts. To ensure clearance for participation, Physicals, Registation, and ImPACT testing should be completed and turned in to the Athletic office no later than 5 school days prior to the first day of practice/tryouts.

Physicals must be authorized on or after May 1, 2024.  (Change in the PIAA CIPPE 4/29/24)

Recertification (section 7)

Students who are participating in a second, third or fourth sport in the Winter or Spring season must complete a Section 7 recertification for each sport.  The section 7 should be uploaded via PDF format in the Activity Registration Site before the student is authorized to participate in practice/tryouts. This form should be completed no soone than 6 weeks prior to the start of the season.

Recertification by physician (section 8)

Students who have been removed from play due to an injury, concussion, etc., need to be recertified or cleared by a licensed physician.  This form is a section 8 recertification and must be completed in order for the student athlete to return to play.  

ImPACT Testing

ImPACT testing must be completed prior to particpating.  This testing is updated every two years. ImPACT testing is completed online, at home in a quiet area with a laptop or computer (other devices will not work).  For the link for the at home ImPACT test, or if you have any other ImPACT questions please email, our Athletic Director, Brian Ferra (bferra@burrell.k12.pa.us)
